San Antonio’s real estate market is going to be hot this year. (Hotter than Austin!) And San Antonio rents aren’t dropping. From finding your perfect new home to negotiating rent prices, searching for an apartment in San Antonio can be quite the experience. Taking inspiration from our sister publication SFGate in San Francisco, MySA is looking at local properties showcasing the best, worst, and everything in between here in the Alamo City. Let’s guess the rent.
This week’s “Guess the rent” has us heading northwest from an inviting home in Alamo Heights, to this stunning two-story, four-bedroom home in the Country neighborhood just above the San Antonio International Airport.
The 2,950-square-foot home at is a lot of house, with three full bathrooms and a half bathroom with the potential to turn one of the rooms into a fifth bedroom.
But just like last week’s four-bedroom listing, how much will it cost to live in this spacious home?
Let’s dive in.
It’s not quite an open space concept that we see in most homes nowadays, and I like that. We’ve got this living room bathed in light from the tall windows in the back. The vaulted ceilings allow all that light to bounce as well.
From the living room we have a kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a bar for extra seating outside the little dining area.
This room can double as a separate family area or, as the listing suggests, can be used as a fifth bedroom. Either way it looks cozy.
The home has dark hardwood floors throughout the entire home, according to the listing. That includes this spacious bedroom. How much of that do you think factors into the rent?
The backyard could use a clean up, but it look like it is just needs leaves picked up. Once cleaned, you’ve got yourself a covered patio that extends outward.
So how much will it cost to live in this four-bedroom home? The Craigslist post says it will cost $3,000 a month for a year lease. The home also doesn’t open to tenants until next month. Zumper says the average rent for a four-bedroom in the area sits at $2,050.
