Tyler man describes escaping deadly apartment fire


TYLER, Texas (KLTV) – A fireplace ruined apartment households in Tyler early Friday early morning. 1 of the inhabitants tells their story of how they escaped.

“This was terrifying it was terrifying like my lifestyle was at hazard the other citizens their existence had been at possibility,” mentioned Rhett Kenyon.

Kenyon reported he appeared outdoors and noticed a flicker of fire on his neighbor’s entrance porch and immediately called 911. He was equipped to wander away alive with minimal burns. Two of his neighbors in the apartment next door to him were killed in the fireplace.

“And by the time I got accomplished with the call I went outside and the flames… they have been in all places,” mentioned Kenyon.

“After that, he claims he ran all over to the back of the complicated to warn his neighbors of the hearth and went back into his apartment to save his canine,” Kenyon mentioned. “My doggy, I tried to hitch him out back again to a tree but he got out of his collar and he ran away.”
