Outdoor Accents® APBDW Decorative Post Base Cover House

Outdoor Accents is a line of decorative hardware featuring ornamental wood connectors and fasteners. These products bring both beauty and strength to outdoor living structures such as pergolas, pavilions, arbors, gazebos and patio covers. General Manager Bruce Blazon of North Branch Constructions was introduced to Outdoor Accents by our Associate Territory Sales Manager Emily Holtshouser during a presentation about our decorative hardware solutions. Bruce gave the line a unique twist showcasing the products indoors rather than outdoors. He used our decorative hardware to add style and flair to the beam posts throughout his new house.  

Bruce built this custom home for himself, and it took him three years to construct. There were delays with this project due to Covid, but he was more than happy with the finished results.   

For his build, Bruce chose to use the Outdoor Accents® APBDW Cover. The APBDW composite wrap features the arched profile of the Mission Collection® and provides a decorative finish that fits over most nominal 4×4 and 6×6 post bases. 

Bruce thought the black coloring of the post base cover complemented the wood he used for his home.  

As for installation, Bruce said that installing the APBDW was easy, as the screws and false nuts make the process much simpler than predrilling or through-bolting. Overall, Bruce enjoyed the  of the APBDW and thought it looked great inside his home. We couldn’t agree more!
