Ex-police chief to lead Jupiter, ‘unsafe’ condo building evacuated
Happy Thursday, and welcome to The Post on Jupiter!
Some news for you this week: We (almost) have a new town manager.
Frank Kitzerow, who led Jupiter’s Police Department from 2005 to 2018, was selected as town manager Tuesday night in a unanimous vote that shirked the other two candidates (who are currently working in Georgia and Michigan). Read the story below for all the details.
Although it’s not in Jupiter proper, I thought you may want to know about a 24-unit condo building on the Intracoastal in Tequesta that was evacuated late last month.
I talked to some residents and the village to understand what led concrete columns under the building to crack. Check out the story below.
Bonus for Metallica fans in this week’s newsletter: My friend Wendy Rhodes caught up with former bassist Jason Newsted, who lives in Jupiter. Read below to find out why he quit the band.
That’s the news for this week!
On a lighter note, I made an awesome carrot cake on Sunday for Easter dinner with some friends. Unfortunately, I learned I can’t frost cakes to save my life.
You’ll see what I mean.
Have a great weekend, Jupiter. And Happy early Earth Day!
