Australian Distillery Archie Rose + Edith Rewa’s Beautiful Botanical Collab

Brisbane-dependent artist Edith Rewa’s appreciation for the indigenous Australian landscape was instilled in her from an early age. She grew up in rural Victoria in which she was surrounded by bushland and her parent’s wide indigenous backyard.

This, coupled with her interest in natural heritage and botany, feeds her style and design and illustration function, which is an abundance of sensitive botanical pieces. ‘My get the job done is grounded in protecting the variety of Australia’s purely natural environments,’ she suggests.

Edith’s specific illustrations always start off in the subject – rather basically – and are then taken again to her studio where she translates them onto her computer to develop styles and compositions, ‘which spotlight the crops personalities and most effective functions.’

‘I’m often wanting for new means to entwine the worlds of regular botany with the contemporary artwork and structure area, whilst exhibiting native plantscapes that are under-represented, or unfamiliar,’ she claims.

It’s this passion for botanicals and the all-natural planet that designed Edith the perfect collaborator for Archie Rose’s confined version Tailor-made Spirits

Just about every 12 months, in an ongoing hard work to champion area Australian artists, the distilling business pairs up with a area innovative to layout the packaging and labels for their Personalized Spirits – a selection that will allow shoppers to hand-decide on their favourite botanicals to make a customized-manufactured gin or vodka, and a personalised label.

‘I was presented a list of botanicals that Archie Rose uses in their spirits and I did some study into gin generating to choose what indigenous Australian botanicals I wanted to attribute,’ describes Edith.

Her style and design options common components such as juniper, ginger, raspberry, cinnamon and coriander seeds alongside indigenous Australian botanicals these types of as lemon myrtle, Geraldton wax, pepperberry and lemon scented gum, suspended on a black or white track record. ‘I needed to create the feeling that the botanicals ended up floating via the liquid, enabling drinkers to visually hook up with the botanicals in their Archie Rose spirit of alternative.’

Edith’s fascinating patterns will not only be out there on the Archie Rose limited version Tailored Spirits bottles, but also on the canvas bottle bag (no cost with any bottle), the Archie Rose gifting box (free with any two bottles obtained) and a minimal edition tea towel.
