In an eerie little bit of foreshadowing not even two months in the past, Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio theorized that Carolina Panthers proprietor David Tepper wouldn’t be underneath getting his ball and heading residence if and when he couldn’t get his way.

“Frankly, there’s a superior chance Tepper is actively playing large-level hardball with Rock Hill as a shot across the bow at Charlotte,” Florio wrote in April when the Rock Hill offer commenced to crumble. “The challenging deal Tepper has preferred to push in South Carolina could be a precursor to the hard bargain he’ll push in North Carolina.

“Maybe that is why Tepper seems to be untroubled by the present-day predicament. His deeper concept could be much far more pointed.

“Give me what I want, or I eventually will be gone.”

Very well, he did not get his way in South Carolina. And now, he’s long gone.

As claimed by Joseph Human being and Daniel Kaplan of The Athletic late Wednesday night time, the eighth-richest owner in all of qualified sports place his serious estate keeping organization, GT Real Estate Holdings, into chapter 11 personal bankruptcy. That, in change, formally closes the billionaire’s chapter on the Rock Hill headquarters.

GT Serious Condition Holdings unveiled the subsequent statement:
